My birth plan is to have a healthy baby, and mommy at the end. Often times I think people let birth plans get in the way of what is actually best for the baby. But that's just my opinion.

I am also a first time mummy to be in December, my partner and I have decided not to write a birth plan. Our plan is as follows
Just him and I in the birthing suit no family no friends just us and the doctors
We will let family know once we have settled after the birth and friends will know a few days later
We will be doing what is best for me and the baby at the time an within reason we are priority number 1 
I plan on only using gas.

I didn't have a birth plan as such, just a couple of things that I wanted - I didn't write them down at all or anything but these are the things I wanted / hoped for.
Just husband and I in the delivery room: Worked out fine 
Epidural: Got one but it didn't work so only had gas, was not mentally prepared for this, lol
Skin to skin and breastfeeding after birth: baby aspirated meconium so had to go straight to NICU and couldn't do skin to skin or feeding

Still wished I got to hold him and have skin to skin time but made up for it once we got home 😊

Not at all. I was in labor for 43hrs before they decided to do a c-section. It never crossed my mind that I would even have a c-section. Even though my contractions were back to back, the baby wouldnt drop and I wasnt dilating fast enough. Not to mention I spent 5 days at the hospital afterwards which I didn't anticipate.
