I don't know what's wrong with people in Nebraska but it could have just been the mailman. I get bothered when I get home and see our fence gate is left opened. I mentioned it to my husband and he literally turned it into a needless argument saying I can't control if people walk in our yard. To me that doesn't make any sense because why would someone open our gate to walk thru our yard when there's a sidewalk that goes all the way around our yard. Where I'm from people don't just do that sort of thing so I find it disrespectful. I think the reason I'm upset by this argument he caused is because I don't feel he respects or legitimizes my feelings on the matter to get aggressive and loud. Would anyone else be bothered by people deciding to open their fence gate to walk thru their yard? Maybe I'm being dumb but I guess where I'm from people are more respectful of your personal property. People are just more respectful in general than I'm finding here in Nebraska. I swear respect is a dying thing in our society, it's sad.
