There's been no proven study to suggest there are any benefits to it. Cooking it, drying it out, or freezing it destroys the proteins, nutrients and hormones in the placenta. What your left with is the placebo effect. Your not technically getting anything out of it.

Make sure you check with your hospital because most of them won't let you take the placenta.

I'm also doing placenta encapsulation when the time comes :) 
My husband is Maori and their tradition is eating it raw, I don't think I could bring myself to do that so we've both agreed on encapsulation :) 
My sister did with all 3 kids and she was glowing no more than 3 days after giving birth and healing much quicker she says :)

It's so beneficial. It's totally ignorant that people think it's gross . What's gross is NOT doing so and not breastfeeding and using shitty diapers and shit formula for YOUR own convenience and not considering your child. people get pissed about weed but don't do the most beneficial things for their babies and complain about some thc 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄👌
