Baby shower food ideas

Melissa • 1st time mommy to be 🍼/wife/hair and makeup artist
Hey ladies, I'm having a hard time figuring out what food to provide at  my baby shower. My friend hosting it says we should do catering, but it's $9 a person.... Any recommendations? I'd love to hear what other mommies to be had for theirs 😀

Had my shower yesterday. We had veggie cups(easy to grab, no fondling with tongs & such), fruit, a watermelon baby carriage made of fruit, Pig in a blanket, grape salad, chicken salad sliders, ham biscuits, & meatballs! We also had cake & some sweets for dessert. Less then 100$ for food. (:

Why not buy buns and make cold meat sandwiches and have fruit cups or something? And punch. That'd be easy and not too expensive.

I have gestational diabetes so my mom did a family open house in between lunch and dinner and served lots of snacks. Fruits, cheeses, wraps, nuts, veggies, various dips, deviled eggs , and so on. We also had a watermelon carriage and skipped the unnecessary sugars. It was so nice to be able to eat the foods without worrying about my blood sugars or temptations. 😃

Costco sandwich platters, fruit, maybe veggies and dip or hummus, and some artichoke and bruschetta and bread. Cupcakes you can make yourself.

For my baby shower we order a hoagie tray, fruits and wraps.. I made 3 different dipping sauces: buffalo chicken, spinach and onion dip.. I have to be honest, everyone was very happy with the menu nothing left on the table and cheaper than catering. Good luck. .

$9 sounds a bit much for a baby shower IMOMy mom is having a baby shower for me, the theme is a garden tea party so dresses and hats will be present. It's any time between 2 and 6 on a Sunday, and she loves feeding people soo.. Tomatoe pie. Strawberry salad. Cheese bread. Angeled eggs & tangerine whip for desert. Five different teas and lemonade.

We had mini bbq sliders, fruit and veggies with ranch. Cupcakes and white chocolate dipped marshmallows for sweets.

Chipotle! I don't remember the exact cost, but they give you everything you would need. I did it for our wedding rehearsal dinner...

I'm going Mexican & hiring a taqueria(taco) man .. Its a pretty good price 200 $ for unlimited tacos & 3 meats of my choice & I will also have finger foods .. Cupcakes & some of my guest are bringing munchies too for everyone. I think it should be enough..
