Is any of you thinking about getting their tubes tied  after having the baby? How long does it take to recover? Does it hurt? This will be my 4th baby. And I'm done.. Any info?? I want to be prepared, lol.. and if I'm going to be in pain I don't want anybody visiting me at the hospital.

I have been doing a lot of research lately and we have decided my hubby will get a vasectomy instead. For me to have a tubal ligation, it is around a week at a minimum to recover.  It's surgery so it does leave a scar, which does not excite me. Also, you can still get pregnant, it was just be a tubal so it can cause big problems leading to possibly a hysterectomy.  A vasectomy takes about 6 mins, they don't need to be knocked out, and takes a few days to fully recover. It has a great success rate and also if for some reason he wants to, it is reversible.

I know that it is possible to have it done. My mom had hers tied but she was also having a c-section so it was easy access. I would ask your doctor
