Staying home after baby is born!! Need advice pls

So how long should i stay home after baby is born and how do i tell my boss? He wants me back to work after 3 months, but i feel like i need to stay longer. What should i do? If i quit my job i wont get 3 months parental pay.... Please help with some advice
