Cloth Diapering....?

Hay mama's that are cloth diapering how many diapers are you buying to start with?

I'll buy 15 Alva witch are very cheap and have great reviews. I'll buy more if I see that I can handle all the poop and pee

Bumgenius's site recommends starting with 24 (I was wondering too)! I'm up to 9, I'm hoping we'll have some generous friends at our baby shower 😊

I'm going to have 15 in the beginning. We will also have disposables on hand because my husband is not on board with cloth yet. If it works out, I will buy some more.

We are going to buy about 24-30 with two inserts per. I only really want a two day stash so they don't end up sitting around getting smelly.

For the newborn stage i bought prefolds and covers.. 36 prefolds and 6 covers.. For one size i got a great deal of 34 pocket diapers and inserts.  :)

Planning on trying it but probably not for the first two weeks and not when we are traveling. Having a stash of disposables just in case, but I already have about 16, trying to go to 24.

My sister does cloth diapers, and she recommends at least 2 dozen. It depends on how often you want to do laundry. Also, keep in mind that the longer they sit the more they smell!

We're planning on having around 25, but we are planning to do disposables at night once he's sleeping for 5-6 hours and when we are out for long stretches.

It was suggested to me that I start with 8-12 covers, 2-3 inserts/cover I I want to wash every 2-3 days. I'm using Andy Pandy disposables for the first month and out of the house, best bottoms (which are great for being about to use the cover multiple times bc the inside is water resistant!) and funky fluff for cloth :)

Think I'm going to start with 20. I've already got ten of littlebloom ones so may get ten in another brand just in case I don't get along with one type I've not wasted all my money.
