Not being wet during sex?

I don't get wet during sex the past 3 times (1 day ago, 3 days ago, and 5 days ago) I'm starting my period in 4 days, could that be why? It's really annoying and I feel uncomfortable using lube. We do use lubricated condoms but when the condom isn't "wet" anymore I have to have him pull out because it hurts though and I try and play it off like I want to give him a bj. We end up using two condoms and I feel bad.
