Etopic pregnancy???

Hello can anyone tell me what etopic pregnancy means please. .. and how do you know it could be that and not a regular pregnancy?

It doesn't have to be just in your tubes either. Believe it or not there have been cases where the fertilized egg did not make it into the Fallopian tube and attached to another organ. If you look up the female anatomy you will see that the overies and tubes are not connected...pregnancy truly is a miracle!

. This happened to me at the beginning of the year and I first knew something was wrong when I had pain in my pelvic (ovary) area. It was very sharp similar to the pain of passing a kidney stone. I went to the ER and initially I was told that I had a cyst near my ovary and since the pain ceased and I wasn't bleeding, I was sent sent home. A week later I started to bleed vaginally and went to the doctor and was told I was having a miscarriage and the fetus would pass naturally. Several weeks after the blood had passed then sharp pain came back and I went back to the hospital to find out that I didn't have a miscarriage not a cyst yet and eptopic pregnancy. I ended up having to have an emergency surgery to have the fetus removed as well as my now damaged right side of my Fallopian tube.

I was six weeks along when I had mine and my tube had already ruptured I had been bleeding into my pelvis for two weeks. I had a lot of pain almost like constipation but twenty times worse it hurt to sit it hurt to get up it hurt to walk but my ectopic pregnancy want normal they should have caught it earlier but I had what looked like a gestational sac on my ultrasound that turned out to be a psuedosac. Do they thought my pregnancy was where it was supposed to be but it actually wasn't.

It's a pregnancy in your tube.  I had severe pain in my side and pelvic area...they couldn't find the pregnancy in my tube so for 3 days they told me it was a threatened miscarriage and that I was fine.  On the fourth day after being admitted to the hospital they finally found it in my tube.
My second pregnancy was also an ectopic but bc I had previous history they caught it so early on that my body didn't have the pain from it yet...
For me it was excruciating pain and pressure in my pelvic area and I felt like I was trying to pass a kidney stone...

I found out at 6 weeks as I started to get a pain near  my right ovary.
My hcg were sky high though so from the blood test they didn't believe is was etopic but the ultrasound showed there was nothing in my womb but a couple of splashes of blood in my tube .

An ectopic pregnancy means that when your ovary releases an egg and is met by the sperm, instead of it traveling to the uterus where the baby would grow, it stays in the fallopian tube. It is an emergency situation and usually results in the loss of the baby. Some women don't even realize this is even happening because it happens very early on, sometimes before they even know they are pregnant. Hope this helps!
