IUD removal?

I've had the Skyla IUD for about 6 months now, and I don't plan on getting it removed any time soon, but can anybody speak from experience on what to expect if I do decide to? What symptoms do you experience once the IUD is removed? Can you immediately have another put in or do you have to wait before using birth control again?

Answer

You can have another put in as soon as you remove the old one, or use another form of birth control. You can use birth control for as long as you want to, you don't need to have any breaks unless you want to have kids, then you need to stop taking it to concieve obviously.

As for what happens when you have it removed, it'll take 3-6 months for your cycles to return to how they naturally are.
