Hemorrhoids or dying??

I'm 37w5d pregnant with my first and last week when I pooped there was A TON of blood in the toilet. Like the water was straight deep red and you couldn't see anything but the blood. It was a really hard poop but still like that was a crap ton (lol) of blood. Then the next day there was blood again. Not as much as the first time but still quite a bit. Then the next several days whenever I would poop there was blood but just a little bit. Is this what a hemorrhoid is like or is there something I should be concerned about.
