Sore throat? Meds?

I woke up yesterday fine and now my throat hurts I can hardly swallow I'm 17 weeks pregnant... Cani take anything to assist in making this go away ?

My ob said for sore throat use pectin drops like ludens or halls breezers, that I could use almost any cough drop minus the ones with cough syrup in them. Original Robitussin or dm for cough control.

Gargle with warm-salt water 3-4 times
Drink warm water with lemon, honey and salt.

My sisters obgyn told her she could use robotussin or Vicks cough syrup and it was safe?

Do not use cough drops and only drink teas safe from pregnancy, but you can use throat spray! It was on my list my OB gave me that was safe. Stick with that and find some tea that you can drink! Avoid dairy products and drink plenty of water as well.
