What is everyone doing to prevent it? I'm a bit nervous about it since I always get bit

Absolutely no mosquitos in the US currently carry the disease; only people who have visited other countries with it. Keep up on the news from the CDC directly.

There are no mosquitoes currently spreading it here in the US. But we do have the types of mosquitoes who spread it.  So there is still a risk of them spreading the disease from someone who brought it from another country. That being said, I'm going to stay away from standing water as much as possible. I'm still on the fence about using a repellent that contains DEET. I have to research the risks more.
