Did you have gestational diabetes!

Question

Tested high glucose on the one hour glucose test today so will have to go back for the 3 hour diagnostic glucose test! Super worried becuase I have a massive sweet tooth and even more so now iv been pregnant! Iv tried so hard to cut down the sugar for baby's health but I know my sugar intake is rediculous still! Any experience, tips help would be appreciated!

I had to go through the 3 hour test this week, and I know it's hard not to do it but don't stress yourself out about it. I failed the one hour test with a 173, but passed all four blood draws during the three hour test with flying colors. However, if you do have GD you need to know to do so you can do what's safest for you and the baby (I'm a pediatric RN and have seen handfuls of babies who have complications bc their momma didn't manage her diabetes/GD). There are a lot of support groups on different apps that are also there to help you if you do end up having it. No worries, you got this either way... GD or not!

I was diagnosed a few weeks ago, and had a really hard time emotionally accepting it. I'm a huge bread and carb lover. My fear was That I wouldn't be able to eat what I love. But after going to a few classes and monitoring my mood glucose, it seems a lot more manageable. Dining out is a bit tricky, but if you enjoy cooking you can still find ways satisfy your sweet tooth. It's all about balance, moderation, and timing.

Haven't gotten my results but my doctor said there was sugar in my urine so I most likely failed and will have to do the 3 hour test. I'm so upset! I work out 4-5 days a week, eat healthy overall with maybe one sweet a day. I already am giving myself daily injections of a blood thinner and have a huge fear of needles! I keep trying to tell myself that I will take and do anything I need to in order to ensure the baby is healthy, but I'm really starting to struggle with this!

I have GD. I have to test myself 4x a day. I had to cut out my sugar and soda. I'm hoping I'll be OK and won't need to go on insulin. 
They will put you on a low carb diet and monitor your sugar. Small changes to your diet will go a long way.

I seriously just had my husband remove and hide my chocolate contraband! I failed mine and long story short I have one week to try the diet to get it under control and if I can't I will have no choice but to go on insulin. It's hard with the cravings but I have to put baby girl first. The sweet stuff isn't worth the complications it can cause
