Baby Shower: how much does it mean to you?

I have family all over the country and world actually, it's very hard to get all of us together... Tho this past week I visited my family in Chicago and most of my close friends and a good amount of fam were there... I almost expected a surprise baby shower, it would be the only time it would be possible. I live in germany so to make it to Chicago was quite a challenge. They didn't do anything, not even my good friend (maid of honor) who has been selfish lately didn't give or say much at all actually. My fam did give me individual gifts tho, I'm just wondering if I should be upset or no. We didn't have that much time to visit... My friend tho I have the right to be upset, right?
