People make mistakes. When I was a baby, the hospital discharged me with my mother, and after she left, thought she had left with the wrong baby after double-checking the paperwork. They called immediately and had my parents come back. My dad was pissed. Luckily, they had only recorded the wrong id numbers from the hospital bracelets and didn't actually send them home with someone else's baby. My parents got like a year supply of baby formula and diapers as compensation.

They're lucky he hasn't sued them! That's terrible, but human error does sometimes occur. I'm not saying it's ok I'm just saying, no system is ever going to be without flaws.

A mistake is a mistake, sure, but the baby wasn't hurt so I would just want to ensure that there were proper procedures in place to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The fact that the other mother was nursing the baby has nothing to do with being upset at the mix up.
