After a week of antibiotics for a UTI with no relief I went to the ER this morning after a sleepless pain-filled night. 4 hours later they told me not only do I still have a UTI, but it's also developed into a kidney infection and to top it all off one of my many kidney stones has decided to start it's trek on out. So now I'm on stronger antibiotics and pain meds which I can work around while breastfeeding, but the medication to pass the 6 mm stone I can't take while nursing and I don't have enough frozen to last very long...... So do I take it and supplement with formula or just pray it passes on its own? Right now it's not disrupting kidney function at all, it's just bloody painful. I've worked so hard to get a good enough supply of milk going for my little man this time around and I was so excited that my milk came in and I've been able to breastfeed which I couldn't last pregnancy and it's making me feel like an awful failure that I'm going to have to give him formula if I take the meds. Starting to get really stressed out and frustrated, it's been months since I've not been in pain between spd while pregnant, childbirth and episiotomy with 32 stitches which was just feeling better and now this crap..... I'm beginning to think I'm never going to feel normal again. 😢
