Should they punish the parents for neglect?

A little boy was heard telling his parents he wanted to get in with the gorilla, yes the parent said no but she then stopped watching him and wasn't paying attention and the boy got in there. In a video you can see the gorilla hiding the boy from the people screaming and even helped the boy stand. The zoo people killed the gorilla saying it was a life threatening situation even tho the gorilla wasn't hurting the boy. I think the parents should be charged with neglect and I think it's BS the animal was killed because of their neglect. I know children are fast and things happen but a child not being watched at the zoo and getting in with the gorilla is not "stuff happens".
