Should we even have a baby?

I'm 33 1/2 and haven't had a baby yet but my husband and I now thinking we better start trying now. The problem is that we haven't had a good sex  life so its starting to make me wonder if we should even try. If our relationship is suffering a baby will only make it worse. Yet I feel if we are going to have children we need to try now. Any suggestions?

Don't do it. Go to counseling and get into a better place with your relationship. You still have time for baby. Focus on the relationship first.

Do not - I repeat, do not - bring a child into a relationship that is on the rocks.

Having a child doesn't fix a relationship, it challenges it in ways that you can't even predict. If you end up breaking up and things go awry, the child will suffer being placed in the middle of two households and two competing loved ones. If you end up staying together for the child, it will teach the child nothing about healthy loving relationships.

My step-daughter and my nieces are in each of these scenarios. It's not a pleasant experience for anyone.

I was in pretty much the same position when we started trying to conceive #1 at 34 years old.  Our sex life had sucked for a couple years already. Here we are, 3 kids and 5 years later.  We've probably had sex about 3 times in those 5 years, LOL.  That's a slight exaggeration but we did go an entire year after baby #2 was conceived.  We've only had sex once since baby #3 was conceived and I'm due in 9 days.  I can say that, for me, sex was never something I was willing to leave my husband over so we keep moving forward. We have been really opening the lines of communication and a lot of it has to do with him having low self esteem.  We are focusing on communicating and getting our connection back, but it is obviously harder with kids.  Only you know if it's the right move for you.  Don't have a baby to fix anything and don't do it just because you're running out of time in your mind.

As of ur not being intimate a lot, do u know the reason for it? My husband n I just went through not being intimate as much as we should n I wasn't willing to do different things or put a lot of effort into it because our marriage wasn't good, I was unhappy n so was he but I was the one holding on to us while he wasn't acting the way he should have so our sex life suffered n now that we're working on us we're now starting to feel happy again n I feel that need n want to be intimate with him n he wants me even more now than he's ever had before
