What you eat and breastfeeding.....

Question

Has anyone noticed what they eat affecting their baby after breastfeeding? I've read that it can affect your baby and read that it won't. Like spicy, beans or raw veggies??

Every baby will be different, just like every adult is sensitive to different foods.

The only thing I've noticed is bananas. He seems to have more reflux if I eat them.

I've noticed that broccoli (even a small amount) made my baby very gassy and uncomfortable...the doctor confirmed this along with suggesting cabbage and asparagus do the same thing!

I think dairy has been an issue. I've had yogurt that I think caused gas. I also ate cole slaw (cabbage) and broccoli without thinking about it and baby seemed really uncomfortable and gasy so I'm going to avoid those now too.

The pediatrician told me not to eat beans. And I don't as it is.. But not sure his that affects the baby.

Nothing I've eaten affects ny baby.  So far. I eat whatever I want really.
