Taking baby on bus

What do mommies think about bringing your babies on the bus? I live in Seattle and have recently located about 9 miles outside the central area downtown. But my parents still live there. I would like to be able to bring the baby over whenever my husband is working. We are currently trying to save up for a good child friendly car. But currently don't have one yet. I would like to take the baby in the bus with me. It's about a 25 minute bus ride without traffic. Is this a good idea or no? I'm scared of her getting fussy, getting into an accident, crazy people, dirtiness, sick people etc
