No cervix??

Question

Has anybody been checked and told that they couldn't find your cervix? What does that mean? Went to the er lastnight because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid and the nurse tried to check me and she said that she couldn't find my cervix! Help please!

Just mean you got a short cervix!

I'm in the exact same position. My doctor checked with his fingers and couldn't find it. Sent me down to the ultrasound tech and she couldn't find it with the ultrasound. By the time I was done with the ultrasound my doctor left for the weekend so I have to wait until my next appointment with him on Thursday. The ultrasound tech said it was vey abnormal and she never experienced not being able to find it in her 15+ years. She said my doc might put me on cervix rest. Same as bed rest. No lifting, walking around, no straining it at all because it's probably very short (it shortens for birth)
