Chunks of mucus plug coming out but no blood?

I'm 37 weeks and for the past couple of days huge chunks of my mucus plug has been coming out but no blood. What does that mean?

There won't necessarily be blood, it might have streaky pink in the plug. But generally it's just mucousy (I'm a midwife) great sign! Your body is getting ready!!

With both pregnancies I've lost my mucus plug, but there was never any blood. Totally normal and a sign your body is doing what it's supposed to!

Call your doctor let them know they can tell you what to do better than I can... usually just drink lots of water and wait and relax but sometimes they tell you other things
