Did you have negative/painful effects after getting an epidural? Comment about your experiences please!

I had an epidural and I had a little back pain for about two weeks... but that was it. :)

I never had any painful effects, but they did OD me on it. Middle of labor and I began to bottom out. Heart beat dropped and blood pressure and I was so weak I couldn't talk. Hubby had to get the nurses attention for me and they gave me a shot to counter act it and bring me back. Then I was okay again.

I didnt and still dont have back issues from it. I just felt like a huge bolder from having to stay on the bed so long on my back. Thats the only thing that really got me.

I had 2 epidurals, because when the first wasn't working, they thought maybe they had gotten it in the wrong place. Unfortunately, the second didn't really work either. But afterwords, for 2 weeks, I got horrible electric shock type pains all over my entire body every time I sat down or stood up. I had to give my daughter to someone whenever I was transitioning because my whole body would tense and shake for a minute and I didn't want to risk hurting her. Luckily it went away, but it was horrible. I had a long and painful labor that ended with an emergency c-section, and I'm almost grateful I'll probably have a scheduled c-section with our next one. I don't think I'm up to a vbac and going through that again.

I have had four awesome epidurals but with my fifth the dr missed the epidural cavity and I ended up with a spinal headache. Thankfully they treated 36 hours after my delivery with a blood patch but it was terrible. That being said if we have another baby I would still get an epidural again!

I was against it, and totally didnt want one... but I was induced and waited until i couldn't handle the pain anymore. 
Luckily i didnt have side effects. It didnt totally take all the pain away, but it made it manageable for me verses totally out of control.

Yes, I got a spinal headache. The WORST headache I've ever had immediately upon standing up or sitting up. I was in bed rest a week after labor and then I was totally fine. It 100% will not deter me from gettin an epidural next time.

I vomited for the first 24 hours after giving birth. They said it was due to the anesthesia.  I had a friend that had an epidural with her first pregnancy in which she had pain in her spine for sometime thereafter. She couldn't turn her neck without turning her whole body.
