How long before you're healed from a C Section?

I'm almost 3 weeks PP and just when I think I'm almost healed from my c section and don't need meds anymore I realize I'm still in pain. The pain feels "normal" and internal like the muscles around the incision area. Just wondering how long it took to feel back to normal. I'm anxious to get back in shape and start working out again.

I'd say it took a full 6wks to really feel "normal" again. But I felt that where I was 6wks after baby is where most moms are after vaginal delivery right away. It took little longer to be able to tolerate my workout routine and even still now at times (almost 6 months) my abs aren't as strong as they once were requiring more rest breaks during exercise.

6-8 weeks to feel human again. 1-2 years for your incision to fully heal (remember that every muscle in your core was cut through)

I felt more normal 4weeks pp from my c section though my doctor didn't officially clear me to resume normal activities til I was almost 7weeks pp. I probably stopped taking my pain meds 2weeks pp. everyone heals differently though, don't do more than you're advised or feel ready to do! A friend of mine created an infection in her incision by pushing herself too soon to go back to normal activities after her c section

I'm 1 month out and still having pain too. I only took pain meds the first week.

I'm almost 4 weeks from mine and I'm just starting to feel normal again. I quit taking anything for pain 2 weeks after and even before that I only took anything on my really rough days, maybe a total of 4 times. This week was the first time I was able to wear normal jeans that sit on my incision. Mine did open in areas though and took a little more for it to close again.
