Diabetes... Blood test?

Hiya. I am just curious... Did the blood test that I had done in the beginning of my pregnancy test for diabetes automatically? I googled it and I see I was likely tested for glucose but I guess I'm dumb and I don't know if that's the same thing.

I had the glucose screening test done at 28 weeks or so, and I passed.

I'm just asking about the blood test because I've been prone to getting cracks in my right heel lately, and my husband scared me by asking if I could have diabetes. I wasn't sure if it's correct to say I must not if I had my pregnancy blood test and glucose screening already.

The cracks could also always be due to living in FL and wearing flip flops everyday!

If you've done your glucose test and passed then it's likely that you just have dry skin. Pregnancy does weird things to skin.

Even if you pass your glucose test you can still develop gestational diabetes later in pregnancy

The glucose screening is the diabetes screening. Most of the time you have diabetes screening at the beginning too to get a baseline.
