I won't say improve like it was bad in the first place. We have a very strong, loving, and caring marriage. But it's strengthened our already strong bond. Babies don't fix bad marriages, they have the potential to make good ones better

I became resentful often, And still get upset if I feel his parenting is not the way I chose to parent. It takes a strong relationship before baby to make the  relationship work in my opinion. Not the other way!

I can't really say it will improve my relationship but I can say it'll bring my boyfriend and I a lot closer. Regardless how many babies you have it'll never fix it.  A relationship is built on a strong foundation. If you don't have that even before you have a child, realistically speaking how would having a child make it any better?

I have a really strong equal partnership and found that having a baby helped us grow even closer as we are united behind a shared purpose, and we see different sides of each other as we parent.

But I think a child can also exacerbate existing problem and concerns because you will often have more acute stress and less energy to work at the hard parts.

To really answer this question for yourself you need to think carefully about what you love about your partner, as well as the strains between you.

My exhusband and I were trying for a baby and it ended up costing me my marriage. I wanted it more then him and all he saw was the money I was dishing out on fertility.
