I had a girl as my first born and she is 2 now. I am pregnant with my son..is it socially acceptable to have a baby shower or no?

I have a 13 yo daughter had a baby shower, and a 8 yo son also had a baby shower. I'm pregnant and everyone keeps asking me when my shower will be. I think it's expected. No worries if people don't want to participate they don't have to.  It's about the baby any ways :) it's their very first party, or second if you do a gender reveal lol good luck and have a party

This is baby number three for me. I had two boys and this is my girl. I had showers for all three!

My family calls subsequent showers "baby sprinkles. The invite asks mostly for clothes and nursery accessories, not big items that you would get at a shower.

I believe you can celebrate each and every baby doesn't matter if you have 1,2,3,4,5,etc each one is individual and special :D xxx

My first is going to be six in under a month! So I have no baby stuff period from her.

I had a boy two years ago but had a huge shower for him and got all neutral stuff. We didn't announce gender until the birth. Having a girl this time and all my stuff is neutral so won't need a shower. If I lived closer  to my family I would have a little sprinkle as opposed to a shower but being 8+ hours away it's not really worth it to me
