My daughter is five months old and she's teething.  What should I give her for pain?

At 5 months, there isn't much that is actually effective. Tylenol is more of a fever reducer than a pain reliever. You can give it, but it might not help much. Make sure it's the infant one and get the dosage from your pediatrician (it's based on weight). Advil and Motrin aren't safe before 6 months. You could freeze breastmilk into cube and let baby gnaw on that. Mine likes it in a mesh feeder so her hands don't get cold. Also, freezing a washcloth with a little bit of plain applesauce for her to chew on is great.

My daughter has a Baltic Amber teething necklace (only worn with supervision so when she is asleep at night it comes off and her crib is in our room so naps during the day it stays on and I an in the room with her and if I do need to leave the room it comes off) it has worked amazingly and at night we give her 1 dose of tylonal about 30 minutes before bed and that helps at night but I definitely whole heartedly believe in the necklace

A lot of them come with a bracelet like this and we used to put it on her at night under a sock so that she had it all night and then we didn't have to give her tylonal but it fell of at Walmart 😩😩😩😩
