Help Please!
I just found out I got into vet school. This has been my dream since I was 8 and it's a huge deal for me. The only problem is that the school is 10 hours away by plane from where I currently go to school. My boyfriend and I would have to do long distance if we stay together and I already know he doesn't like the idea of long distance. I'm willing to try LDR but I understand where he's coming from because he's got 4 years here and I'll have 4 years in vet school. It's a lot to ask of someone. I love him and I want him to be happy even if that means letting him go.
My brother will be starting school here in September so I will be coming back to visit at least once a semester and I could come back and get a job here too in the summer. We haven't talked about that yet- but he's told me he thinks a clean break would be best for both of us. But all I can think is why would he be with me when he knew from the start this could happen (we've been together 4 months and I applied 7 months ago) Any advice would be so appreciated!
Note: he is in no way unsupportive of my choices. He's been my biggest champion for be school. He believes in me more than I believe in myself.
