When you were young...

What things did you do when you were younger that kids nowadays don't do or aren't allowed to do?

Playing with your mates in the street for example. No gadgets to ruin conversation.

Curby ..... One person eother side of a road and throwing a ball to hit the curb and bounce back. 
Swinging on rope swings across the river.
Omg we had great days young. Sad our kids cant do this these days what with the dangers

I played outside a lot more! Now kids these days don't do that that much because of modern technology which is kind of a shame😢 I'm not gonna let my kids have technology like a lot of kids have these days! I want my kids to actually have the enjoyment of playing outside rather than being stuck inside all day with technology😃

I'm seventeen and I wouldn't wear helmets, knee pads, I played with spiders and neighbours. I think the difference now isn't about gadgets, its just more dangerous, or we are just more aware of the danger outside our homes(inside even). And we just feel safer inside not letting kids run around the neighborhood. My brother is 7 and he is only allowed to be on our cul de sac. He cant go off it, he can ride bike scooter, dig in the dirt all day, but he also comes in and plays games on the computer. At the same time we play cards, and legos, we alo play with the pets. Nothing is wrong with the technology we have, we just need to utilize it correctly.

I'm 42 so we played outside unsupervised until it was dark, no one knew where we were. No helmets. It was truly a wonderful childhood where we didn't fear the world

We lived in the country and I spent half my time in the woods behind our house. My mom had no clue exactly where on our 15 acres (or more, if my brother talked me into roaming to our neighbor's property 😉) I was. It might not be the era so much as rural vs. in-town, but I feel like some of my friends have a hard time with their kids playing on their quarter acre, fenced in yard.

My best friends mom was a real like hippy & she use to take us creek walking . basically you just find a creek or river will shallow parts and we would find cool rocks and swim in the deep parts . it was super fun.

I obviously grew out of it and got a car but like my little sister, is 14 and when I was her age, I rode my bike nearly everywhere and that was just 3 years ago. she BEGS me to drive her places and. my very little cousins never go outside to play. they always play on their mums phone or iPad or come up to me "got any games?"
