Confused!?

I'm working on a relationship with a guy i met and have been talking too, we went out to a club and we each paid for our own entrance! Was that correct or was he suppost to pay for my entrance as well?

He was supposed to do whatever YOU felt like he should have done. Maybe he was broke, maybe he didn't want to pay for u. Maybe he doesn't like u that much. If it bothers you, tell him or move on from him.

I don't see the issue with splitting the cost of a date.

If you guys just met it makes sense to me to split the cost, pay for yourself. Even if a guy pays (ok, paid, I'm married and hubby pays for everything now, I'm a SAHM), I at least tried to buy dessert or pay the tip. It's polite for him to pay, but it's also polite for YOU to pay. You could have offered to pay his way... I feel like it should be quid pro quo: if he pays for one thing you should offer to pay for another; dinner vs drinks, admission vs drinks, etc. or he pays for one date, you pay for the next. It's just good manners to offer.
