Period after baby?

I'm 6 weeks PP. & I started my period, is it supposed to be heavy? Before I had my son my periods were light. (I had a c section by the way) this bleeding is worse than after I had him!  I had very light bleeding after having my son. (I don't like to say giving birth bc I had a c section😞)

The first periods for me have always been worse than the after birth.

You gave birth. I had a c section too and I most certainly have birth. After having a baby your periods can change. My anovulatory bleeding due to breastfeeding was quite heavy, but painless. Now that I've stopped nursing and I'm having real cycles again my period has been lighter but cranky again. It can take a while for things to normalize.

I have had two c sections and my periods are always more painful right away. They literally kick my ass when they usually aren't bad at all.
