Dilated to 1 cm, am I close to delivery date?

Last week I went to the hospital because I was leaking a lot through my pants and even through a panty liner. Found out that my water was not leaking nor was it broken. At the time I had just turned 35 weeks. My doctor had told me I was dilated to 1cm. Now I am 35w5d. Am I close to delivering or how long can I expect to be dilated to 1cm. This is my first pregnancy and I'm not sure what to expect.
