Medboard

Does anyone have some insight on the medboard process and if we are able to keep tricare or not.. My husband just reenlisted again a couple months ago but now his back got so bad after his 4th deployment and they talk about medboarding him and I am kind of scared because we always thought he would stay in 20 years... We didn't have a back up plan and I just had our first baby and don't work :(
