Painful Intercourse

Since tracking my cycle consistently, my husband and I have recently started to have unprotected sex. Unfortunately this has proven to cause me a burning sensation that starts during and lasts for some time after. I used to have this pain while on the pill and thought that was the reason, but that's not the case since I'm not currently on the pill.  I don't have the burning pain when we use a condom.  I thought it might've been a lubrication issue but I don't think that's it either.  I am going to see my Gyno but just wondering if anyone has any insight on this issue?
