Am I overreacting?

Question

Almost every time my boyfriend gives me a specific time of when he will be back, etc, he usually never is. And this is not a one time thing, or a every once in awhile thing. when he leaves and says "I'll be back in an hour" it won't be maybe an hour and a few minutes, or an hour and a half. Hours later he will be back. It really frustrates me. If for any reason you need to be longer than you said, why can't you call or text to let me know? Just today he said he'd be back in 20 minutes because he had to go get a phone charger from his house. This was almost two hours ago. I just want to hear your opinions, do you think I'm overreacting? Maybe it is just me. It just drives me crazy!

Maybe it is trust, being paranoid. I can't even count how many times he's lied to me.

Sounds like you are not trusting him or maybe there's a bit of control there, better for him to not give time frames.. Why frustrated? Trust? Or do you really need him home? The stress will kill you.. Let it go sweat the big things in life not the little things that you can't control.. Not trying to be a B**** just straight

In my experience, men are bad with time lol my husband is usually late so I don't rely on him to be home at a specific time anymore. It doesn't bother me. He is where he needs to be just not on time 😂 whenever he says "be back in an hour" just know he won't be. You might be able to make a joke of it. Sometimes when my husband leaves the house and says I'll be back soon, I say "ok, love you, see you in a few hours!" And we both laugh

My bf does that and it annoys the crap out of me..he will tell me he will text me at this time and it's 30 minutes after the time he says that he will text me. Or he will say that he has to do something and he will text back in an hour or so and it will be 2 2.5 hours later that he will text like oh well but if I say I will text him at a certain time and I don't he blows up my phone.

I had the same problem.. It's not that I have trust issues. My husband would never do anything to hurt us, but I tend to worry and I've had bad situations with past relationships.  I sat and had a serious conversation, let him know how I feel. All I asked was for a quick text just saying he's ok. It worked for us.. Give it a try

When my husband is doing certain things and says he will be back at a particular time I always add 2 hours. It's become a joke to us. 
However, it drives me nuts when he makes us late!

Men are very bad at time. EVERY time my husband goes to the gym he'll say "I'll be back soon" . Nope, usually 3 hours later. I always take naps when he's at the gym, it takes that long. He does it to his friends too. He'll say "I'll be there in 30 min" and I watch his butt lay in bed for a hour!!!!!! Idk why they do that!

I would start doing the same thing or leave and do my own thing.

Idk you're relationship but I am the person in my relationship that says I will be back in 20min and next thing you know it's been 2hrs.

DH doesn't wait on me to do things unless we actually have plans. Then he calls to make sure I'm ok.

The worst thing you could do is drive yourself crazy with the would've, should've, could've. This is where trust comes in to play.

Another thing you don't want to do is sit and wait. Especially if its been 30min past the time they say they would be back. Your time is precious too. You don't want to resent him because your constantly waiting.

My husband does that. 'I'll be back in 30' *3 hours later....* it pisses me off and sometimes he has a good excuse but sometimes not.
