FYI: Early pregnancy bleeding
To any woman that is newly pregnant and having vaginal bleeding:
3 days ago I woke up to more than spotting but less than AF bright red bleeding. It continued for 4 days a bit more sporadically. But never heavy and ZERO cramping. I thought the worst and automatically assumed this was the start of a miscarriage.
I finally went into Urgent Care this morning as my anxiety and negative thoughts had taken over and I had spent the majority of the last couple days in tears and assuming the worst.
Now I am not a doctor, and I realize that vaginal bleeding can definitely be a sign of miscarriage. However, I wanted to be a breath of fresh air for a couple of you perhaps and let you know that the doctor diagnosed me with "chorionic hemmorhage" : the most common sonographic abnormality in the presence of a live embryo. Most often your pregnancy continues as normal outside of the additional bleeding.
I am writing this in hopes of being a breath of fresh air for any worried new moms out there. I went into the ER this morning assuming the worst, but hoping for the best. I received good news and I wish the same for any other "light bleeding" new moms out there as I wish I could've found something to read like this on here in the last couple days.
Please share your stories, concerns, or vent. I wish you all the best. And know you're not on the "bleeding bus" alone.
