Frustrated with a BFN

My period is 6 days past due. I have been having mild cramping, but absolutely not spotting (not even a trace of pink). My boobs don't hurt at all, but I decided to take a test today and it came back negative. I had a mc this past Sept and it's been frustrating for us to conceive our rainbow baby. It took a year and a half to conceive before. I just hope it doesn't take as long to conceive again.
