Can you ask to get progesterone shots?

Question.. Anyone know if you can ask your doctor for progesterone shots and if they will give it to you by asking? I called my doc but can't speak with him until my next appt cuz he is away and the staff didn't know:(

Once you're in second trimester, doc usually stops you from taking them since the placenta takes over. No need for them then.

The insurance don't like to approve progesterone unless medically necessary. I had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get it approved the first time I needed it.

I asked about it. That is only given in certain cases such as previous early delivery or risk of miscarriage in first trimester. If everything looks good they will not give it.
