My SIL recommended my hospital/doctor and she's very choosy. Is the extra cost worth it?

I think the answer depends on what you want from your hospital. I doubt there's much difference in their ability to deliver a healthy baby, but what kind of experience are you going for? Private room? Birthing tub? Continuous monitoring? C-section? A particular doctor you like? Unless you have some specific expectations I don't think it matters that much.
