Pumping more than breastfeeding?

Is it possible to breastfeed a few times a day and pump most of the time? Will I be able to keep/build a supply? Having a lot of trouble with breastfeeding right now and I love the convenience of pumping

I am not personally doing it, but I have a friend that mostly pumped for her twins and did it for a year (they recently turned one and I think they're still going.)

But yes, it is possible. Many women exclusively pump. It is time consuming but possible.
