Mirena/Skyla IUD?

Question

I've tried several pills before, they just make me moody as heck. Not wanting to conceive, hearing lots of good things about IUDs. What is your experience with IUDs or specifically Skyla (smaller version of Mirena)? I heard it's great for women that have not yet had children.

I have been using the Mirena for about 4 months and my body is still adjusting. It's amazing and I don't have to worry about taking a pill to be protected. The only downside I have is it makes my cramps worse and my period a week late and all weird. It's something I talk to my gyno about though, but I highly recommend it.

I've had my merina for 4 yrs. Never had a problem. If your cycle doesn't show up for awhile don't worry. Mine dissappered for 9 months last year.

I got my mirena put in place a week ago so I'm probably not in the best place to say my experience but so far I've been crampy as all hell. But it's supposed to be smooth sailing after this.

I've had mirena IUD for 4 years, first few months was rocky, with lots of bleeding and cramping but since then I'm good. I recommend it.

I had mirena for 6 months I had horrible cramping first month then started to have extreme pain at random and during my period finally said screw this I was bleeding every other day and in pain found out my body was rejecting the iud it was an overall horrible experience.
