But if this were my child, I would NOT have had his back. Because rape is rape. They had plenty of evidence against him, and I would have told that judge to give him a punishment they would have given any other rapist.

I don't give a fuck about his accomplishments in swimming, he raped a girl because she was drunk. If my son ever does this, he better be ready for prison, because I'll make sure he spends his fair share of time in there. And then I will gladly kick his ass myself when he gets out. He raped a girl who was unconscious. Just because she was passed out doesn't mean she's asking for it. She didn't want to be raped. He scarred her, and only got a slap on the wrist because the judge didn't want to mess up his life.

Well guess what judge dear? He probably would have been safer in prison, surrounded by guards. Cuz he won't be safe when he gets out. I guarantee it. Someone out there will catch him for what he did. What world does this judge live in thinking that he's gonna go back to his normal life after raping a woman?

And the father just sickens me for standing up for the boy! How dare he. Yeah that's your kid, but what he did is WRONG and you should know that too. Unless you're a rapist yourself. There's a point and time where you have to say enough as a parent and let your child face the consequences of his actions. Or else you raise an entitled brat who thinks he can, and pretty much did, get away with something he shouldn't have.
