Lines in stores

Today I was at century 21 in Wall Street and there was a huge line at the fitting rooms (20 min long). I am seven and a half months pregnant so I asked the lady from the store if I could cut the line. She replied in a very upset way that everybody has to do the line and there is no reason why pregnant women should cut the line. I was shocked with this response. I think a little bit of politeness and kindness shouldn't be too much to ask when you re pregnant, especially in a city like NY where there is no special treatment for pregnant women (in subway or buses especially...). What are your views on this?
