Pregnancy after Hernia Repair

So, back in November 2015, I had surgery to repair my umbilical hernia, I did let my doctor know that I wanted to become pregnant again after the surgery and he informed me that I should be fine. About 3 to 4 months ago, I had a miscarriage. I already have a 51/2 year old son and have been married for almost 5 years, but it would be an absolute blessing if I could enjoy the feeling of giving my son a sibling. I am mostly wondering if any other women have had hernia repair surgeries and have had successful pregnancies after?
