Doctor response to miscarriage

Went to ER Sunday for bleeding. ER Doctor consulted with the on call doctor from my midwife's office, which is part of the same health system so they have all of my information. Was sent home to let things happen naturally with an order for my hcg to be tested again Wednesday with a STAT order placed on the results. I have access to my records online, so I've been checking to see when the results became available, which was finally this morning (it was down to 3, so definitely miscarried). The office has NEVER contacted me!  They never followed up with me after the ER visit, although I wasn't really expecting anything until the blood work results from Wednesday were in. I called them around 1 this afternoon since I KNEW my hcg results were back and they were already closed for the weekend!!!  I am just in shock of the utter lack of concern, care, and urgency they have displayed through this whole ordeal. They should have called me AS SOON as they had the results from Wednesday!  I work in health care and cannot believe this!
