HSG really the next step?

I'm 36 and TTC for 5 months. My obgyn wants me to do an HSG now (along with hubby doing a semen analysis). I'm waiting for my period to start (which is late btw) so I can schedule the HSG. But I'm hesitant to do the HSG. My bloodwork was normal, I've never had STDs / pelvic infections, and I don't have any history of cysts / fibroids. Is an HSG necessary?

I'd say still do it, just to start ruling things out as reasons.

You should definitely have an HSG. It has nothing to do with regular periods, blood work or stds. It's going to tell your Doctor if your Fallopian tubes are open.

It's worth it so you know. I had one a few weeks ago. Husband hasn't had a SA yet. But it's the next step for us. Been TTC for 7 months. Nothing.
