Soooo I have Humana, and they do not cover midwives, birth centers, home births, etc... I had a birth center birth with my first child but was on Medicaid and they covered and paid for it fully. Now that I have Humana and would like to use the same place they do not cover it... I'm going to have to pay out of pocket the 5 grand it costs, or some how find an insurance that WILL cover a birth center. Is there pregnancy insurance just for pregnancy? If so can I get that on top of the insurance I already have or will I need to drop out and be penalized? Has anyone else ran into this problem?
