What happened to your sex drive in the couple years after giving birth?

I don't have kids yet, and my husband is afraid that when we do, we'll lose the intimacy we have and I will pay more attention to our child than him. Did this happen to you. :/

Ok so I answered increase, but I want to elaborate.   We had our first child Dec 2001.  We had our 3rd May 2005. So we had 3 kids 3yrs and under.  Apparently we were having sex because had all these kids.  Yes we were exhausted and busy raising kids, but we found time for each other.  Seeing my dh with the kids made me want him more, so freaking hot.  Anyway fast forward to now, we had our 4th child Jan 2010.  He is now 6.  We have been married nearly 20 years. I feel our intimacy is great.  While we aren't a daily kind of couple, several times a week.  But it is at a much deeper level than before kids.  That's what you can look forward to and it is worth it.

It only happens if you let it. The first 6 weeks after I had my daughter I was worried because sex literally wasn't even on my mind and I wanted none of that. I was too tired. But it got to a point where we had gotten down to a system and started back to being normal. I think we actually have sex more now than we did before.
